Carolina earned her BSc in Economics from the Universidad Católica (Ecuador), specializing in Econometrics and Data Analysis. In Ecuador, she worked as a data analyst for several government institutions, enhancing data-driven public policy. She then obtained her MSc in Economics from the University of Bonn, with a focus in Econometrics and Computational Statistics. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant in the chairs of Prof. Philipp Eisenhauer and Prof. Jan Hasenhauer. As of January 2024, Carolina joined officially the Hasenhauer group as a PhD student, where she is working on infectious disease modeling and dynamical systems analysis.
